I saw Kleenex play at a small club in London called the Living Room in 1979. They were opening for the Raincoats. Its one of those shows I will never forget.

What I wouldn’t give to have been at that gig. And not been one year old either.

I cannot believe that I missed Kleenex supporting The Raincoats in ‘79!! (In fairness to myself, I suppose I should point out I only moved up to London end of 1979)

Deerhoof covered Hitch-Hike on their recent UK tour, which was quite wonderful.

That was my first trip to London. I was there for six weeks (until my money ran out) and I also saw Joy Division, the Pop Group and so much more. I went out to see bands every night I was there, only missing one night to illness and that was Prag Vec and The The. I was back a year later for two weeks and then started coming back all the time with Thin White Rope. The bands I saw there! Amazing!
